Albanian and Kosovari startups listed in the newest mapping are in majority considered diaspora-founded, or headquartered outside their local ecosystem, thinking globally from day one. Nevertheless, their achievements spill over the domestic communities.

Backed by top-tier international venture firms (including General Atlantic, KKR, Plug and Play, and AXA Venture Partners) these startups are reshaping sectors across beauty, logistics, proptech, mental health, and edtech.

Combined, five companies listed in this mapping represent over €360 million ($410M+) in venture capital raised, spanning market presence in over 120 countries and employing hundreds of engineers and operators across Southeast Europe and abroad.

Below, you'll find all five funding rounds tracked in H1 2026 for companies that are founded in, based in, or have an Albanian or Kosovari founder at the helm. You can explore the rest of the Central and Eastern Europe H1 2026 mappings here.
