After the first half of 2026, it is clear that investment dynamics for Hungarian startups remain volatile. After a slowdown in H2 of 2025, we again see a decent recovery. In general, the prospects for scaling Hungarian startups are turning out to be more promising than expected at first glance.

Current rounds quantity hasn't reached the level of activity seen in the first half of 2025, when we had 10 funding rounds above €500K. However, this year, the top Hungarian funding rounds totaled €113.5M, almost triple time the total across the top 10 rounds in H1 2025. If we look further back, to 2024, that is an even more considerable uptake.

This scenario reflects global investment trends, especially influenced by geopolitical instability and AI hype, where we see funding consolidating into fewer, larger rounds. Below, you can check the biggest H1 2026 funding rounds in Hungary and key details about the startups. Check the rest of the Central and Eastern Europe H1 2026 mappings here.
