Lexroom, the AI operating system for legal work, acquired Praven Intelekt, the Bulgarian legal tech startup that built one of the country's first specialised AI platforms for legal professionals. The deal gives Lexroom its first foothold in Central and Eastern Europe and secures a legal AI assistant that already serves more than 900 clients across Bulgaria, from solo lawyers to municipalities and in-house compliance teams.

BlueFive Capital announced it has completed the acquisition of a 30% equity stake in Bugatti Rimac (Croatia), the producer of the Bugatti supercars. The stake was purchased directly from Porsche AG, making BlueFive Capital the largest shareholder in Bugatti Rimac after Rimac Group. As part of the transaction, BlueFive Capital will have a board seat at Bugatti Rimac and two observer seats.

US-based Robutler has raised $400K from ZAS Ventures in its first institutional round from ZAS Ventures. Founded in 2025 by Volodymyr Seliuchenko, the startup is building an AI-powered platform for creating and collaborating on documents, presentations, design, video, engineering projects, games, and more.

Earth Ledger, a US startup with a Croatian co-founder and operations locally, has secured its first real estate customer, with Studio Aura approving the rollout of Earth Ledger intelligence across its entire portfolio of approximately 300 property listings. Studio Aura will integrate Earth Ledger across 100% of its current portfolio.

Big across Europe

France-based Mistral has raised €3 billion at a valuation of around €21 billion ($24 billion), in what the three-year-old AI company described as the largest equity funding round by a privately held European tech company.

The round was co-led by existing investor PSG Equity, alongside new backers Samsung Electronics and the EU-supported Scaleup Europe Fund.

Founded in 2023, Mistral AI develops open-weight AI models and infrastructure that let companies deploy AI while retaining control over their data. Active in 20 countries, it serves 125+ enterprises, including Airbus, ASML, and HSBC. In March 2026, Mistral secured $830M in debt financing to acquire NVIDIA chips for its first data center.

Funds supporting Europe

CEECAT Capital, a private equity firm focused on high-impact investments in fast-growing companies across Emerging Europe, has announced the first close of CEECAT Capital Fund III at €135 million. The fund targets €200 million, with a hard cap of €250 million, putting it on track to surpass CEECAT Capital Fund II, which closed at €154 million.

The first close was backed by cornerstone investors including the European Investment Fund (EIF), which committed €40 million, partly supported through Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The fund also secured backing from existing Limited Partners, as well as new commitments from family offices and institutional investors.

Romanian startups head to Luxembourg

ROTSA, in partnership with the Romania - Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), is organizing the 11th RoTechMission delegation, dedicated to the internationalization of Romanian startups and their connection with international technology, investment and business ecosystems.
