Kiss My Apps was founded in 2022, during the first year of Russia's full-scale invasion, when building a startup in Ukraine came with an entirely new set of challenges. The company also took an unconventional route, choosing to grow without venture capital.

For CEO and co-founder Dmytro Lola, the company's growth has come from building systems that make it easier to launch and scale new products, rather than relying on venture capital. He takes a similarly pragmatic view of AI, arguing that its greatest value lies in changing how people work, rather than eliminating jobs.

The company now develops products through three different models: entirely in-house, together with external founders in a co-founding structure, or through acquisitions of promising applications that can be integrated into its ecosystem.

"We are a platform company," Lola says. "We have four internal products — analytics, payment orchestration, development tools and our app platform; and on top of this platform we build about 20 different consumer products."
