$hackathon_ – Coding the future of finance – is a 30-hour gen AI hackathon for financial services, organized by The FinTechers with Deloitte and AWS. It opens Czech Startup Week 2026 in Prague and brings together 100+ developers, banks, regulators and fintech builders to work on real industry problems using sandboxed transactional data.

The challenge

Teams pick from seven tracks, each built around problems financial institutions face today:

1. Agentic payments & money movement
2. Stablecoins & new financial infrastructure
3. Cybersecurity & fraud in the age of gen AI
4. Gen AI onboarding, KYC & trust
5. Compliance & RegTech copilots
6. Finance operations & back-office AI
7. Open / wildcard

All teams get anonymized transactional data from the TSYS sandbox, plus AWS credits and access to Amazon Bedrock.

Who it's for

There are two categories: enterprise teams come from banks, enterprises and software houses; community teams are independent developers and students. Teams have 3–6 people.

What to expect

• 30 hours of building, overnight included, with the venue open the whole time
• Optional workshops and mentor office hours with experts from Deloitte, AWS, Mastercard, the Czech National Bank's Financial Market Supervision team and more
• Live demos on Day 2 in front of a jury that includes Deloitte, AWS and Komerční banka
• A €6,000 prize pool (€3,500 / €1,500 / €1,000) plus an audience award
• A direct line into the rest of the week: Engaged Investments and UnBundled – Autumn edition, the fintech track inside Engaged Investments

The FinTechers is a CEE fintech community and accelerator based in Prague. It connects founders, financial institutions, investors and regulators through events like UnBundled and programs that help fintechs scale across the region.
