Digital Trust Forum 2026 brings together policymakers, technologists, business leaders and identity experts for a day of conversations on digital trust, identity, AI, cybersecurity and financial compliance, exploring how Europe’s digital infrastructure is changing.

Digital Trust Forum 2026 will take place in Sofia on October 27, bringing together policymakers, technologists, business leaders and identity experts for a one-day European seminar focused on the infrastructure and business implications of digital trust. The inaugural edition is organised by Sourcelab with the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and is endorsed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria.

The programme will explore how trust is changing as digital identity, AI and regulation reshape the way businesses and customers interact. Key topics include:

  • Digital identity, credentials and wallets
  • eIDAS 2.0 and the European Digital Identity Wallet
  • Enterprise trust and cyber resilience
  • DORA and post-quantum cryptography
  • KYC, KYB and digital onboarding
  • AML and RegTech
  • Open Finance and PSD3
  • AI agents and digital trust
  • Deepfakes, fraud and synthetic identity
  • Data sovereignty and cross-border digital trust

The afternoon programme will start with registration and a welcome coffee, followed by an opening talk, three keynotes and two panel discussions. The first panel will focus on the infrastructure layer — identity, signatures, wallets and the standards behind them — while the second will look at digital trust from a leadership perspective, including risk, reputation and investment. The programme will close with a networking reception from 17:00.

The speaker lineup includes voices from government, technology, cybersecurity, identity and the startup ecosystem, including Bart Lamot, Senior Innovation Manager at the Dutch Ministry of Defence; Sander Dijkhuis, CTO & Co-founder of Cleverbase; Prof. D.
