BeGlobe American Venture Party 2026

The BeGlobe American Venture Party is a private evening event that the tech PR agency BeGlobe has hosted every year during Web Summit since 2017. The 2026 edition is for founders preparing to expand to the U.S. and for the investors and journalists who follow that market.

BeGlobe, an international tech PR agency working with startups that move between Europe and the U.S., will host the 9th edition of its American Venture Party on November 10 in Lisbon, during Web Summit. The event takes place at Palácio do Conde d’Óbidos, a 17th-century palace overlooking the Tagus River.

This year’s programme focuses on connecting startups from around the world with the U.S. market. According to Crunchbase, the U.S. drew two-thirds of global startup funding in Q2 2026 and 83% in Q1.

Focused on genuine connection

The first edition in 2017 was a small founders’ meetup. This year more than 300 guests are expected, all invited by the organisers:

200 early- and growth-stage founders (Pre-Series A and beyond)
70 VCs and LPs with $30M+ AUM, including founders of 15 unicorns
30 tech journalists. Earlier editions drew reporters from the Financial Times, TechCrunch, Bloomberg and Forbes, among others.

About 70% of guests are based in the U.S., and most of the rest are European founders expanding there. Representatives of Y Combinator, Sequoia, Accel, Google, Microsoft, Stripe and Revolut have attended in previous years.

“For me, business has always been about people. Now that AI can produce an email, a pitch or even an entire persona in seconds, genuine human connection is becoming more valuable,” said Julia Sabitova, CEO and co-founder of BeGlobe.

Programme highlights

Tetrad VC Challenge: a pitch competition for AI startups with revenue and early traction, in four tracks: AI Cybersecurity, Robotics Infrastructure, Voice UI and Causal AI Agents. The winner gets a $15,000 uncapped SAFE and goes straight to Tetrad VC’s Investment Committee, with a chance to raise up to $500,000.
Pitched by a Bot: a panel where journalists talk about which PR pitches work in the age of AI and which get ignored.
Secret headliner: a fireside chat with a Forbes-listed founder about scaling in the U.S.
World Connection Day activation by Fledge: guests get coloured ribbons showing they are open to meeting new people. The game is led by Val Klimov, founder of Fledge.
