[Duvo](https://www.duvo.ai/?ref=therecursive.com), the Prague-based enterprise AI company founded by [Rohlik Group founder and CEO **Tomáš Čupr**](https://www.therecursive.com/tag/rohlik/), has raised a **€28.55 million ($32 million) Series A** led by Balderton Capital. Existing investors Index Ventures, Northzone and Credo Ventures also joined the round, bringing **Duvo's total funding to €43 million ($48 million)**.

With the new funding, Duvo is expanding into the United States, where it will start with retailers and consumer goods companies. Most of it will go into sales, marketing and partnerships. Duvo has also hired two US executives: Michael Green, who joins from Databricks to lead go-to-market after a similar role at Salesforce, and Spencer Insolia, former President of Kmart and Managing Director at Accenture, who becomes Managing Director for the US.

> “We're starting in the U.S. with retailers and consumer goods companies, because that's the work we know best,”

— Čupr said.

## Mapping the work that lives in people's heads

Duvo describes its product as an “Enterprise Execution OS”. The first layer, **Duvo Clarity**, maps how employees actually do their jobs, using AI-led interviews, screen recordings and existing documents, and picks up the exceptions that were never written down. AI agents then carry out the approved steps across ERP systems, supplier portals, spreadsheets and inboxes. They connect through APIs where these exist and work through the regular user interface where they don't. Decisions and exceptions are routed to the employee responsible, and according to the company, the first processes can go live within weeks.

The platform is model-agnostic and can run open-weight models on dedicated GPUs or models hosted by the customer. It is certified under SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, and US customers can buy it through Microsoft's Azure Marketplace.

Duvo's customers include **Notino, Morrisons, Holland & Barrett, Boden and Allegro, as well as Rohlik itself**. At Czech online beauty retailer Notino, the company says, the quarterly reconciliation of around **$45 million** in annual supplier bonuses went from 70 days to 15, and the specialist time needed per cycle fell from about 120 hours to under 10\. Across finance, supply chain, commercial, customer care, marketing and HR, Duvo says its technology has generated **more than $100 million in value for clients**.

> “Getting AI agents to work reliably across the enterprise remains incredibly difficult,”

— said **Rob Moffat**, Partner at Balderton Capital.

## Why Čupr built Duvo outside Rohlik

Čupr [explained the idea](https://tomascupr.substack.com/p/why-i-co-founded-duvoai) behind Duvo in December 2025, when the company announced its seed round. At Rohlik, he wrote, he watched skilled people spend a large part of their week moving data from one system to another, chasing confirmations over the phone and fixing the same formatting problems again and again. He wanted an AI workforce that would hand that time back to them, and he sums up Duvo's principle as **“AI does the repetitive digital and phone work end-to-end.**”

Čupr also describes agents that call suppliers, carriers and stores following approved scripts, update the relevant systems and pass the case to a person when it needs judgment or a relationship. He argues that standard flow-based automation only covers the “happy path”, which he estimates at about 20% of the work.

Čupr is still CEO of Rohlik, and he uses the grocer as a testing ground for Duvo. Grocery delivery runs on thin margins and tight deadlines, so it is a hard place for any new tool to prove itself. He says that if Duvo can bring down Rohlik’s costs, it can do the same for other retailers.

## A third act for a Czech serial founder

> “We've been relatively invisible until now, but I think that's going to change,” Čupr said.

Čupr founded Rohlik in 2014\. The online grocer [became a unicorn in 2021](https://www.therecursive.com/czech-grocery-delivery-startup-rohlik-investor-in-bulgarian-ebag-is-the-newest-cee-unicorn/) after a **€100 million Series C** and is now valued at around **$2 billion**. Before that, he founded the deal site Slevomat and the food delivery service Dáme jídlo. He co-founded Duvo with Marek Paris and Martin Pecha, both former Rohlik colleagues.
