The Bulgarian acquisition is the second M&A move the company has disclosed for the third quarter of 2026, alongside the acquisition of French legal AI company Query Juriste, bringing **Lexroom's active markets to five across Europe.** Praven Intelekt founded in Sofia by **Siyanna Lilova, Rangel Milushev and Christian Tsanov,** achieved a lot since it was founded in 2025\. In a little more than a year, the company of five people built one of Bulgaria's first specialised AI platforms for legal professionals, covering legal research, document analysis and drafting. Since then, the platform reached more than 19,000 registered users and now around 1,500 professionals use it every week. That growth, built without a large headcount, rarely goes unnoticed by acquirers operating at European scale. ## Why local data beats translation At the core of Praven Intelekt's product sits a **database of nearly 1.2 million legal documents** drawn from 18 official Bulgarian and European sources: legislation, case law, EU law, and decisions issued by public authorities and regulators. **The platform grounds its answers in those official sources** and links each response back to the underlying documents, letting professionals verify information independently. "*We built Praven Intelekt because we wanted to bring a world-class solution to the legal market in Bulgaria. Legal professionals needed AI built around the realities of local law, rather than a generic tool*," said **Siyanna Lilova**, co-founder and CEO of Praven Intelekt. That design choice, ***traceability over convenience,*** reflects a deliberate bet that lawyers will only trust AI they can audit, a principle that aligns closely with how Lexroom itself approaches the market. Lexroom enters this acquisition from a pole position. The company now serves more than 20,000 customers, and has built its platform on more than 13 million legal sources. In summer 2026, it surpassed €20 million in Annual Recurring Revenue. That growth sits on a $73 million funding base: a **$50 million Series B raised in May 2026**, led by Left Lane Capital with participation from Base10 Partners, Eurazeo, Acurio Ventures, Entourage and View Different, arriving **eight months after a $19 million Series A**. For Lexroom, **the acquisition follows earlier expansions** into Germany and Spain and represents the company's first M&A transaction since its founding in Milan in 2023. Praven Intelekt's **technology, legal datasets and local expertise** will progressively integrate into Lexroom's broader platform. Existing customers retain access to the product with its current capabilities, which Lexroom plans to expand over time with additional functionality. **The longer-term ambition** is to bring legal research, drafting, document analysis and broader professional workflows into a single platform — starting from Europe's Civil Law markets, of which Bulgaria is now the newest and, strategically, the most eastward-facing addition to the portfolio. **The founders and the full team are joining Lexroom** as well. Siyanna Lilova takes on the role of **Head of Central and Eastern Europe at Lexroom**, leading the company's regional growth. > *"Joining Lexroom allows us to preserve that local depth while operating at a completely different scale. The Praven Intelekt acquisition signals that the company **intends to grow through jurisdiction-specific depth rather than surface-level localisation.** This model, if holds, could make Central and Eastern Europe's fragmented legal markets a meaningful and visible part of the continent's legal AI story. Whatever might future hold, for the Bulgarian AI ecosystem, this will stand as one of the **more significant M&A deals of the season**.
