# CEE Startup & Tech Weekly: The Newest Unicorn Comes From Spacetech

Bulgarian spacetech EnduroSat has [**closed a $205 million (€178 million) funding round**](https://www.therecursive.com/bulgarian-endurosat-raised-eur178-million/)to dramatically scale its next-generation satellite fleets. Which officially launched them over the $1B valuation and granted **unicorn status**. The investment, co-led by **Riot Ventures** and **Atreides Management**, brings together a heavy syndicate including the European Innovation Council, Google Ventures, Founders Fund, House Capital, Lux Capital, Omnes Capital, Giant Ventures, Emphatic Capital & Endeavor Catalyst.

**Veridion**, a Romanian-founded business intelligence startup that builds a *living digital replica* of the global business landscape, [has raised $20 million in Series A funding](https://www.therecursive.com/veridion-raises-20m-series-a-to-map-the-worlds-businesses-in-real-time/) to expand its AI-powered platform, which continuously updates data on around 640 million businesses worldwide. The round was led by Hoxton Ventures, with participation from existing investors including **Underline Ventures, OTB Ventures, Gapminder, Day One Capital and LAUNCHub**.

Tallinn-based **Creem**, a billing and monetisation platform targeting AI-native software companies, [has raised €5 million in seed funding](https://www.therecursive.com/tallinn-based-creem-raises-eur5m-to-build-billing-infrastructure-for-ai-native-companies/), the company announced. The round was led by **Polish venture capital fund Inovo VC**, with participation from existing investors **Practica Capital and Antler**. Angel investors include **Markus Villig**, founder of Bolt; **Timmu Tõke and Kaspar Tiri**, co-founders of Ready Player Me; **Adam Jafer** of Voi; and **Fryd Wiatrowski** of Viktor.com.

Vilnius-based **EnforceShield** [has raised €1.7 million](https://www.therecursive.com/enforceshield-raises-eur1-7m-to-become-the-autonomous-enforcement-layer-for-enterprise-ip/) led by Vendep Capital to scale its autonomous, attorney-built platform for removing IP violations at enterprise scale. The round was led by Vendep Capital, with participation from FIRSTPICK VC.

The San Francisco- and Warsaw-based **TesterArmy** [has raised its €1 million](https://www.therecursive.com/yc-proven-testerarmy-raises-eur1m-for-ai-agents-that-test-software/) pre-seed from Y Combinator, AIP Seed, Eight Capital, Script Capital and angels including Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch. The startup uses AI agents that follow user journeys in plain language, no test scripts, no source-code access. 

Czech investment fund **JSK Investments** SICAV a.s.[has backed US medtech startup Andromeda Surgical](https://www.jskinvestments.cz/cs/media/jsk-investments-sicav-a-s-investuje-do-americkeho-startupu-andromeda-surgical-vyvijejiciho-autonomni-chirurgickou-platformu?ref=therecursive.com) in its Series A round. The company secured $15 million in the round, bringing its total funding to $30 million. Based in San Francisco, Andromeda Surgical is developing an autonomous surgical platform aimed at broadening access to advanced procedures while reducing the steep learning curve associated with specialized interventions.

## New fund launching 

Asternova Centru, a new **€8.061M regional venture capital fund**, is set to [officially launch on September 30](https://asternova.vc/centru?ref=therecursive.com) at CATTIA Brașov during the **Romanian Capital Circle – Asternova Centru* launch x EIT Urban Mobility Ecosystem Day*. 

Backed by €7.058M in public anchor capital from ADR Centru via the European Regional Development Fund, the new vehicle is managed by Aster Capital Partners in partnership with Iceberg+ and Venture Booster. Led by General Partner Silvia Ursu, the fund addresses the critical early-stage institutional gap by offering **ticket sizes between €50,000 and €350,000** to build a portfolio of 40 pre-seed and seed tech startups across six central Romanian counties: Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș, and Sibiu.
